Hours: All departments are open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. We are located on the first floor of the County Courthouse at 722 Moody Avenue.  The building is between Ball and Winnie on Moody Avenue (21^st Street).  Parking is available next to our location at 20^th and Ball.  Coming from the causeway, turn left onto 20^th Street off Broadway, cross Ball to enter parking lot.  Should no uncovered parking be available, there is a large parking structure on 20^th Street just South of Ball.  Exit the uncovered parking onto 20^th Street and turn left to enter the structure.  Parking is free and unreserved except for disabled and County vehicle parking.  All reserved parking is clearly marked. DROP BOX: Each office has a drop box for all payments and to drop voter registration cards or other correspondence. Boxes are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Galveston drop box is located at the parking lot referred to above. All items left in the box will be retrieved at 8:00 am the following business day.
Directions from I-45 North IH45 South to Broadway. Continue on Broadway to 20^th Street which deadends at the Courthouse. The Tax Office is located in the annex building attached to the rear of the Courthouse which is currently being renovated.
Directions from Highway 87 Take the ferry from Port Bolivar. Ferry Road to Seawall Blvd. Seawall Blvd. to Broadway. Travel west on Broadway to 20^th Street which deadends at the Courthouse. The Tax Office is located in the annex building attached to the rear of the Courthouse which is currently being renovated.
