ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES AND SKILLS |
|
Thorough knowledge of purposes, principles, terminology, and practices regarding child protective services, juvenile services, and criminal and civil law as related to the functions of the position. Working knowledge of scanning or microfilm process. Working knowledge of courtroom processes and procedures as related to the functions of the position. Working knowledge of modern business office policies, procedures, and standards. Working knowledge of local and state law, procedures, and policies as they relate to the mission of the department. Working knowledge of county department operations, organization, accountability, and responsibility. Working knowledge of the preparation and interpretation of statistical, technical, and narrative reports regarding department activities. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to perform research utilizing a variety of paper-based and electronic sources. Ability to operate common office equipment and machinery, including photocopier, facsimile machine, computer, and typewriter. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
|
Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Minimum two (2) years scanning or microfilming experience; minimum typing speed 45wpm with 98% accuracy |
