POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE COURT MISDEMEANOR DOCKET |

Misdemeanor docket begins at
8:30am Monday through Friday. A prosecutor should be in the courtroom to speak
with defense attorneys and pro-se defendants. Attorneys and their clients or pro-se defendants must be present at all court settings. There will be no resets over the phone. Exceptions to this rule will be granted for good cause only. |

| MOTIONS | ||
|
All motions should be filed
with the County Clerk’s Office, Misdemeanor Section. The Court does not accept
fax filing. An extra copy for the Court is not necessary. Please call the Court for a hearing date once your motion is on file. The party filing said motion(s) is responsible for notifying all parties of any hearings. Motions to Suppress must be filed and a hearing date secured before the pre-trial and trial date. |

| PRE-TRIAL AND JURY TRIAL DOCKET | ||
| Jury
trials are held on Mondays at 10:00am, unless otherwise specified.
Pre-trial motions will be taken up at the Pre-Trial Conference,
which is held two Fridays before the jury trial also and 10:00 a.m.
You will be advised at the pre-trial conference what order your case
is and what time you need to be in Court for the jury trial. A docket control order will be issued for all trial settings, including trials before the Court. If the case is continued by agreement, or is not reached, you must get a trial reset before the end of the jury week. |

| JAIL DOCKET | ||
| Jail docket alternates between CC1, CC2 and CC3, and is held Monday through Friday at 8:30am. Currently, court appointed counsel is paid $900 per week to handle the jail docket. Jail docket attorneys must be present in court every morning. If you are not able to attend, you must contact the Court who appointed you. You will need to submit a voucher to the assigning Court for payment at the end of the jail docket. | ||
